STARWATCHER has been kept by his meticulous owner on a program of regular, preventive maintenance and improvements. She is a fully sorted out sailing ship and in many ways a better than new vessel, also because she has never been chartered, rented or raced, but sailed exclusively as a summer holiday vessel.
- See Starwatcher at shipyard
The boat is rigged to be sailed solo, in full safety and with the minimum of physical effort because:
- - all sheets, halyards and control lines return to the cockpit, therefore sail hoisting, trimming and reefing (automatic) can be effortlessly handled by the helmsman, with the assistance of the autopilot and a centrally placed Lewmar EST 46 electric winch,
- - - the entire boat electronics (the GPS chart plotter, the navigational central, the radar and the autopilot) are linked NMEA 0183, thus enabling automatic course piloting from cruise start, through any number of way points, up to the selected destination.
Extended fuel tanks and 1800 liters per day water maker capabilities, enable long range cruising  with unrestricted fresh water usage.
STARWATCHER, a Bruce Farr’s hull design, is a safe and gentle sailing ship, capable though of performing as one of the fastest cruising sailboats of similar waterline length. Solo handled, she can routinely keep cruising averages in excess of 7 knots, this in full comfort and safety and she can cruise at 7 knots in a 12 knot wind.
[See performance graphs]
- Starwatcher mahogany interior is as clean and shiny as the day she was delivered from the boat yard. For added protection and comfort the Alcantara settees are white linen sheeted; all furniture tops and the entire floors are carpeted. For added comfort, in 2001 the original and rather cumbersome heel tilting saloon table, has been replaced with a new, mahogany, extensible table.

Outstanding conditions and the beauty of the Pininfarina styling make of STARWATCHER an eye catcher wherever she happens to be sailing or mooring.
- If you're looking for a high quality, fully loaded and competitively priced world cruiser that can be easily handled solo or by a sailing couple... look no further... STARWATCHER is a top value...
- More, if you are an European Resident... on this vessel the Value Added Tax has already been paid.
